Martin Pielot is currently working as Quantitative User Experience Researcher (Quant UXR) at Google. Quant UXR is a role on the intersection of user experience research, human-computer interaction, statistics, and machine learning & data science. In this role, he contributes to ensuring that Google’s Material Design System helps designers and developers to create beautiful and usable user interfaces and experiences.
Prior to that he was working as senior researcher in the Scientific group of Telefónica‘s Innovation Unit in Barcelona, Spain. where he had the privilege of productizing his research on the relationship between mobile phone use, human attention, and emotions in a company-internal startup called Preciso.ai.
Martin published his research in top-tier conferences and journals in Human-Computer Interaction, and received over 3200 citations (H-Index 30) and several best paper awards and honorable mentions.
